Fear is an emotion. Anxiety is a state.
Fear wants to be felt.
Anxiety happens when we hold on and do not process fear.
YES — feeling fear seems absolutely uncomfortable, scary, and like something we all want to avoid!
Now here is the thought that will change your life.
Because it changed mine.

Okay, listen…
All thoughts that turn into feelings,
that make you feel scared, that cause anxiety —
are YOUR INNER CHILDREN speaking.
It’s your 6-year-old that wanted a hug when mum just got the tax bill and didn’t know how to pay it because father was gambling.
It’s your 2-year-old that wanted to play on the playground, but father did not allow it and held you by him firmly and harshly.
It’s the 11-year-old that got her period on a rainy afternoon, alone in the house, and didn’t know what it was and panicked.
